MegaSquirt II Successfully Running on 7M-GTE!!! (Lots of pics and walkthrough)

stock ecu does come from factory with the same curve for ALL 7m but guess what the stock 7m ecu does... LEARN. It adapts. The timing maps are FAR from stock since the last time the ecu was reset, sooooo many variables, sorry chief, it don't work that way. In reality you want to put whatever...

    New Headgasket Opportunity

in the end it still copper. perfect for drag racing where the engine gets torn down after each run. ;) Now unless you love tearing your engine after each drive ;) I don't think it will be that great an idea but , who knows! perhaps there is someone that does infact tear down the block after each...

MegaSquirt II Successfully Running on 7M-GTE!!! (Lots of pics and walkthrough)

sorry no one in thier right mind will answer this question... reason is. No two engines are ever the same. Only way to get it right, get it on a dyno. Period, end of discussion. No otherway around it unfortunatly. gt4082 with a .68 a/r? That is a tiny A/R for that big a turbo???

    New Headgasket Opportunity

I have to concour with the thought of copper and daily driving. Unless the lot of you are tearing your engines down after each and every single drive to inspect the Copper hg. You are asking for trouble. Copper is great for RACING as it is soft. Bad part is the measily 1200 degree melting point...

    Timing Jump?

nope and nope timing is a fucntion of a couple of things. See jetjocks post off timing in the ECU subsection. Usuallly the jumping around is FINE as TSRM states 10 degree + - 2 degrees.

I'm going to need help with this AEM...

Couple of things. AEM supports wideband but not directly (wideband tied right into the ECU). Need a "translator" box. As was stated before, innovative, PLX, FJO and any other wideband "unit" works well for this. the AIT mounting. If you are using the GM AIT. placement is real critical as...

    r-12 to r-134a

42 degrees is 42 degrees. I have no problem acheiving 42 degree output at full tilt, windows down, doors open and recirc off. This is with R-134a in my system. And this has been this way since I tested in Miami when I did the switch.
