really?
Sorry to be brunt about this but,
you best go back and reread what I posted. Seeing as you missed it.
MAP = speed density
so I was actually right.
AFM nor MAF != MAP
not quite.
as the isc will now be letting unmetered air into the system if using the stock afm or maf based system. In a speed density system you can do what you said.
oh boy
news flash!
PWM will never ever ever move as much air as a step motor based ISC valve. IE PWM can not be used for cold starting as it can not open that much. It can be used for A/C idle up or little things like that but not cold start.
Beautiful thing about the motec ;)
initially two transducers. One in the rear of the car about 6 inches off the fuel pump (walbro at that time) and the other right on the afpr. at full flow at idle there was about 10 psi differential and it didn't change with pulse width. stock lines are...
1 thing to keep in mind.
the stock fuel line might be able to support 800 rwhp. BUt how efficently is it doing it? What I mean by that is what type of pressure losses are you seeing at that level of fuel flow?
I can tell you that it is not low by any chance. At that level and through those...
nope
ask the high powered 2jz cars. Some run it. MOST do not. Off the top of my head, none of the Titan crew does, Larry from SP, Ryan Woon,. Ken Henderson I know does not. And those are the "all godly" 2jz.
The problem with knock. Great at shitty low levels. Raise the boost and it becomes...
safer based on what facts?
A harness is part of a COMPLETE safety system. The key word being complete.
A harness does not do shit if you don't have a HANS device. Sure you body might not go anywhere but your neck will probably snap in an accident. hence the use of a HANS device. Have a...
ok one thing though
before you go all gorilla knuckle and try to tap the iron block. It can be done. But under no circumstance should you use any leverage bars on it. That is the quickest way to break the tap in the block and then you are royally fucked.
quite the opposite actually if you think about it :)
The bar and plate since it is less efficent needs to be bigger. The tube and fin can be smaller since it more "efficent" and cooling the intake air charge.
well that same propensity to NOT heat soak makes it also NOT absorb the heat from...
I see all that but no wideband.
Black smoke is indicative of an EXTREMLY rich condition.
you can check the spark plugs to see if you are indeed running rich.
ahhh
Now we get to the most intresting and highly contested subject.
the very nature of an intercooler ;)
Slowing the charge down IN the intercooler will make the intercooler more efficent (without stagnating the air of course). Now the other way of doing it without slowing down the...
Depends on how fast the sensor picks up the temprature increase.
The delco units are fast but still take a bit to catch up to the temprature increase.
There is only ONE AIT sensor that I know that is fast enough to do an IMMEDIATE detection.
Bosch fast reponse sensor which cost about $200
Anthony
might I lend a hand.
You are thinking in terms of digital which is NOT dependent on conductor parameter (analog system theories still apply).
It would have been easier to use an analog system ;)
12v @ 5 A through an 18 guage wire = 1 hot wire (resistance is high)
12v @ 5 A...
congrats
but when i don't know, I ask people that know. So i posed the question to wilson manifolds and accufab. Both came back with a resounding no. Perhaps at minimum boost level but when you have a gt42r pushing air through there. Yeah. I need meat on that shaft.
