How do I determine what size Turbo I need?

GT42r. overkill. GT40r at most. GT42r will become a huge lag monster and if at 6500 rpm a teeny tiny 2000 rpm window of power. Before that RPM wndow, slower than a sunday night at a fully clothed titah bar.

    emissions ugh.

High HC but everythnig else looks good. Did you run it on the highway for 15 minutes prior to getting the test done? if the O2 sensor is reading Lambda = 1 then those unburnt HC should be taken care of by the Cat.

    Walbro pumps

the NORMAL walbro 255lph starts falling flat on it's face at around 65 psi (40 gph). The GSS341/342 hit 40gph @ 85 psi

    Stock idle rpm?

JJ thanks for that... I was thinking about one thing regarding the ISC. Since there is no feedback. It assumes an initial position of 0 steps (completelyy closed) and start the "count" from there until target idle rpm is reached and then hold or counts back?

    fuel rail help

just keep in mind. the input line is -12 the output is -10 ;) Need the Weldon Dial-A-Flow for street duties and also requires the bigger fpr from aeromotive or the weldon regulator. :)

Walbro wearing out after a year?

actually no. We have an Air Flow meter not a Mass Air Flow meter. The system we use relies on air speed which is unaffected by air density. That why the 87-88 have a high altitude compensation sensor in the cabin while the 89-92 have it built into the ecu. If the supra had a MAF instead of...

    fuel rail help

Woah woah woah! Paper?? Highly mistaken. Notice the flat assumption i made of 10%. It is actually worse. And on top of that as pressure goes up the pressure loss increases. but instead of complicating where I was going with my post I kept it simple. I got the numbers by reading from...

    fuel rail help

ummm why is this like dejavu to me???? Ok here it is again. what is the pressure the fuel pump is seeing vs the pressure at the rail? The fuel pump will be seeing higher pressure on a stock rail at those volume pressure. A bigger ID for a fuel rail has nothing to do with power or HP...

    Stock idle rpm?

au contraire.... I have been adjusting that bypass screw since 1994 in my car without the ecu adjusting it. 1000 rpm idle and it stayed at 1000 rpm for about.. ohh 3 years until I got the issue I was having sorted out, then back down to 650 where it stayed until it's death in 2004 (7 years...

    Stock idle rpm?

Hey guys a dig up from the grave... but i think it is necessary. The way i have adjusted my idle via the tb there is a blocked side screw on the tb that you can remove the aluminum plug. After that their is a bleed screw. I always set idle that way so as to not muck with the tps. Is...
