That is not pricey at all I don't think.
Patience cost money ;)
with that said. I myself am done with the reusable fittings. Crimp on own and are def lighter in weight.
If they built it hopefully it was with crimp on fittings ;)
what type of line? -08 or -10?
If -10 I can definetly see the price go even higher than that. if -08, with fittings. That is good price.
What type of Stainless steel braided line?

All relative to the frame of reference. Sustained to me is constant measured in consecutive hours. Nascar, I consider sustained, as they are always spinning those motors for hours at a time. Not seconds. If it was the 24 hours of lemans, that also would be sustained.
the motec can support DBW natively without CAN chatter. They have a product called the DBW4 that allows the motec to control 4 servo motors by communicating to the DBW4 via CAN. Otherwise it the motec m800 can control the DBW directly with analog outs.
Though they said the BMW M5 does it over...
didn't i put it on here??
NASCAR is sustained 600 hp.
Blackdevil
you are focusing on load when that is not the dampners job ;) What it has to do with though, is with torsional dampening. Toyota not even in thier wildest imagination designed the oem to dampen more than oem hosepower (measure...
you sure it was me? I logged in the other day and my sign up date was 2003 :) But I think I recall that Mark changed the software so I vaguely remember. That was when I did not know anything. Today, i still don't know anything.. lol
JJ
it does. :)
I need to be specific with what this is.
Motec + BMW V10 engine (M5).
It has two DBW throttle on it. In stock configuration. The ECU controls the DBW's over the CAN bus and it is a true servo. Though it has the CAN module built into the servo motor circuit so I am...
Well, it was about that time that I notice that girl scout was about eight stories tall and was a crustacean from the protozoic era. The Loch Ness monster. I said, "Dammit monster! Get off my lawn! I ain't giving you no tree-fitty!" It said, "how about just two-fitty?" I said, "Oh, now it's...
ok i don't think so
the 5.5 is the stock based one. When I designed mine. The engineers specifically told me what I posted. For every 100 hp increase the OD by and inch.
My ATI that is rated at the correct 600 hp is 6.5 OD not 5.5.
but just fo giggles.. I am calling ATI.
JJ
got a question for you regarding servomotors.
most servo motors used in DBW throttle application get driven directly from the sender motor on the pedal.
There is a car that does not do that. In particular this car has the sender but the signal goes to a CAN bus and that then gets sent...
Hey Ron
whenI talked to ATI. You can go over the limit by intervals but if you are going to be doing 900 hp SUSTAINED then you need a bigger pulley.
I would say crank that gt42r up and get to the 800 hp sustained ;)
actually just because the OEM worked does not mean it was actually doing its job. And on top of that the age of the running oem cramk pulley is basically making the rubber not doing ANY dampening whatso ever. Again the ATI hp rating is SUSTAINED.
IE like NASCAR... 800 HP SUSTAINED.
I would...
well it has to do more with the elastometer sizing within the shell.
like my custom made one. Good to high 600 sustained. It can go higher but requires frequent inspection and rebuild at that point.
No such thing
the only one the sell for the 7m that is stocked is good for 400hp-500hp at the crank SUSTAINED.
basically for every 100 above that requires 1 inch increase in diameter.
Ie for a sustained 800 hp at the crank requires a pulley with an 8 inch OD. ATI will tell you this right...
