Well since my car will most likely be considered totaled, i was wondering what kind of insurance i should anticipate?
The car was mint, 172K miles on chassis and 8K on engine. Lots of aftermarket parts (see in sig)

unfortunately BOTH front quarterpanels, bumper and hood were destroyed from the firefighters trying to open up the hood.
Did you end up rebuilding the motor???
^^well, i just makes me wonder b/c im pretty sure (not positive) that the aeromotive FPR is aluminum. It was in the worst of the flames as you can see and actually is in perfect condition (minus any seals that may have been on the inside) so this makes me wonder how the head handled....

So if you don't already know, a terrible thing happened yesterday in which a freak engine bay fire occured. Car is totaled but has many salvagable parts.

well the insurance people should be here tomorrow or thrusday, after that i can get a better idea of what my plans will be.
i can only hope they don't completely screw me over. I have State Farm so they are usually pretty good i guess
there were no traces of anything leaking and i have been checking quite often the past few days since i pulled the injectors over the weekend. But its just too hard to tell. Fire report was inconclusive. We'll see what the insurance company says.
i didn't want to start over thats the issue. This car was nearly complete. Waiting on a turbo and suspension and wheels....thats all and it wouldve been done

Insurance will cover but im sure for only half of what its worth
we think electrical on the fuse box side of the bay. Car was off but previously running fine
