I got my car from my mom who bought it brand new right off the showroom floor.
She likes to refer to it as "her car" even though I've had it for 4 years.
My 72 year old hot rod mom now drives a Saleen Mustang.
Just get another combination switch or you'll end up shorting out all kind of stuff.
I gotta ask...why would you consider doing such a mickey-mouse "repair" on your car?
It makes me think it must be a real beater.
Like someone said earlier in this thread, the starfire doesn't have the tanish-kacky look in it's highlights that pearl whites have. Starfire is just pure crystal white.
I have not been a big fan of white cars, but starfire pearl white looks fantastic!
Starfire, for sure.
And "thread police"" people, if you don't like the subject of the thread, don't read it.
Jesus, what a bunch of shit attitude cry-babys.
You're right, my bad. I confused them with a different set of calipers. Usually I just buy rebuilds, but I rebuilt some MG calipers a while ago, and confused the two.
Never let it be said I won't fess up when I'm mistaken (wrong).
And the price tag certainly reflects it. You can p/u an n/a for cheap, but it's an arm and a leg for a turbo.
They're selling for more than they were new in some cases.
I cannot understand why Toyota would put a 2 litre engine is such a heavy car. As I recall, even with twin turbos that engine was factory rated at 180 hp.
What were they thinking?
Tems are not useless, It all depends on your driving style.
I know several people that have them and wouldn't do without them, they just need to be in good working order.
Which coilovers are going for "super low prices"?
All the coilovers I'm aware of (and God knows I certainly don't...
That's correct they have 3 height adjustments for the springs, and yes your tems will be no longer functional.
You must have a tems compatible shock for the tems actuators to work. To my knowledge there are only 2 ways to go for tems, Toyota replacements or Tokico's.
No, it's not normal. There is a check valve inside the caliper to hold and release hydralic pressure and it sounds like yours it stuck. They're not going to release when you start the car.
Bottom line, rebuild or replace your calipers.
My wife wants a Supra.
So that's about as good as it gets.
I'm selling her VW Cario, and I'll have to find a nice one for her that doesn't need much of anything to make it right.
Otherwise, I'll be spending all my time working on Supras.
