Process of elimination or get on the TSRM if your roof is factory or the web to get a diagram if it's aftermarket.
This should be in general discussions.

Pretty universally accepted the 1987-88 front looks best. It has more of a classic "sports" look, and it is the original design. They should have stayed with it.
Don't cry post 88 owners, deep down you know I'm right!:rant2:
You definitely could color sand that paint a lot more and get it mirror smooth.
I have color sanded alot of paint jobs that had tons more orange peal than yours, and without exception I can get them to glass. It takes some time and patience and technique, but you can do it.
Let me know...
Frankly, I think instead of rotflyao you should be grateful you have such an honest dealership near you, that is so willing to accomodate you, and possible even give them a plug, instead of mocking them for helping you.
Maybe this type of ungratefulness is part of the reason dealerships tend...
I was wondering when someone would say it (both points)...I would have, but I'm too unpopular already, and God knows I want to be popular (not really).
Who's working on your car...Gomer and Goober Pyle?
If they can't figure out how to trouble shoot basic problems, and are asking you if you know anything about Supras, then you need to call a towtruck, and get your car the hell out of there.
You can always sue them later.
Yeah, that sounds right. I've heard alot of people say "it'll settle after a month or so". Personally I've never had springs "settle" to any noticable degree.
Get it over with. Go to NAPA, get a block test kit and do the do. This way you won't torture yourself wondering if you have a BHG.
In my experience these kits will find even a slightly leaky HG, and are as bankable as money.
I've been following this thread and listening to what everybody had to say.
From the outside looking in, based on what you have described, It sounds like you have a 650 hp set-up (conservatively) I would just offer this simple advice:
Don't rush out and make any huge changes. I think...
That completely sucks! It's too bad there are unscrupulous "mechanics" out there taking advantage of the vulnerable.
I also think it's really shitty that all the honest mechanics (don't laugh, there are many) generally have to fix both the cars, and their customers because some asshole...
Never had ecsta's, and am not aware of that issue.
I ran ASX's up untill recently (an excellent tire for the money) and now I've got a new set of Mx's and they are as good a tire on the Supra IMHO as anything I've driven on, and better than most.
I can't speak to the issue of treadwear as...
Just a thought...but if you were to drop and LT1 350 w/ aluminium heads, and use modern gm fuel injection and of course turbo hydro trans (which would make the swap a lot easier than trying to mate a toyota trans), you my friend would have a hell of a daily driver. Any weight gain would be...
There was a time when I would have said, yes it's sacreligious. But I've changed my thinking on this subject and would have to say, if you like the idea, and make a good job of it, and are happy with the result then why not?
It's not like you're cutting out the post on a split window...
