support for the MAP ECU will be handled entirely by the original mfg. in NZ....
do a search, we've debated the MAP ECU vs. everything else many times....it really comes down to your goals and desired function for the car. the MAFT pro may be a better choice depending on your needs....
i fail to see where the difficulty is. you have a mountain of resources at your disposal:

what? have you read about HOW to make the old eman work on the 7M? the install is no different than any other piggyback. certainly not rocket science....there's a HUGE thread on SF and a link on mkiiitech.com....
AFAIK, no one has the eman ult working on the 7M yet. i can't imagine it would be...
great question. i don't know. i know it's more than a simple frequency clamp....IIRC the FCD gets an RPM input and maybe TPS? i was trying to get one to see exactly what it does....
personal experience. you can clamp AFM out, but you still end up w/FCO. you can head to a cooler or higher clime and change where FCO is. the real thing to do would be to call up reg and ask him....seeing as how he has access to the ECU code.
