Hearing a metal gasket move isn't engine ticking noises. And since he didn't say he had an engine noise, then he can look for it. I have stop assuming people are...never mind.
Well, his testimony about the relationship between dying out and a loose belt...isn't valid. Unless he installed a clutch on the water pump that activates at 5500 rpm, and it engages a brake of some sort.
Wait, you said you are using a manual trans spec'd ECU in the other thread. It has to have signals from the TPS and speedo. That replaces the governor valve and throttle valve. If you unplug it and it runs normal, that is the problem.
That is good, but I was refering to head work. Specificaly bowl work and maybe oversized valves. You are past that point though. Don't sweat it, I haven't done it either.
The clutch disc is warped. Or worn out. There are springs that counter that shake, and they could be old. If you just put in the clutch, it was done wrong. Typically the input shaft is angled and loads the disc, making it lightly warped. That is called chatter in the industry. Talking has...
Does the speedo work? That signal and the TPS tells the trans when to shift. Unplug the range selector at the transmission. Drive it and see if it shifts normal.
I didn't. You misunderstood because I wrote the statement with poor structure. They are common OEM on many exotics. Therefore, they can't suck. That is what I should have said.
