    Carrier bearing or 1-piece driveshaft?

So then you don't know the size of a fairmont platform. I didn't realize it. The Fox Body weighs in less than 3200 lbs with a cast iron block and heads. It is a small car with a short wheel base. ---------- Post added at 10:47 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:44 PM ---------- Have you...

86% relative humidity. I went anyway. 295.1 rwhp at 14 psi. And it is sitting at 294 at 6000 rpm. I like the Boss Jr. 311 torque.

    compound turbo set up

What reason might he want to do such a thing? He has no advantage, and only disadvantages on our car.

You should not be approaching load to go into boost if you are trying to save fuel. I know those of you in large metro areas have to accelerate to merge with traffic. Sell the Supra and go with a C5.

Is there something disadvantageous about this brand new 3" downpipe vs HKS?

Remember the Defcon downpipe? It was built for $40, and sold for $400. Something to think about.

Injection duration is based primarily on engine speed. (and airflow). More engine speed, more fuel. I was refering to acceleration, not steady cruise.

    7mge acting weird

The ACIS system improves low speed response. The intake manifold is too large for good cylinder filling at low speed with 180 CID.

Air entering the intake that isn't metered can do it. As can many other things. Look for DTC's first. s

    Carrier bearing or 1-piece driveshaft?

This is a Supra, not an old Fox Body Mustang.

Don't drive in too tall of a gear. Lugging the engine isn't good for it or effeciency. If you have a 5 speed, upshift at 3000 rpm.

help from fellow '91 owners, plug to??

It could be a California plug, or even Canada. It doesn't look long enough to reach the headlight relay. The only thing over there is the A/C switches. I don't know where it goes. I didn't find the plug in the EWD.

    Carrier bearing or 1-piece driveshaft?

No other advantage. Two pieces handle the speed better. If your unit is damaged, including the bearing, then you could have a vibration that will go away with the new u-joints and balanced shaft.

The EWD also shows the exact connector and its circuit. Clean the wires so you can view the color better. Mine isn't plugged into anything on my 1991 7MGTE A340E car. And it has all options.

Is there something disadvantageous about this brand new 3" downpipe vs HKS?

You don't need to change fuel pumps to avoid fuel cut. The larger Lexus housing will slow the signal to the ECU, so injection isn't cut. And yes, run the larger injectors that go with the larger meter.

A good stiff spring will do that.

You don't have the vacuum line on the actuator on the manifold? Hook it back up. I don't have a picture. There is only one place for that little line to go.

    Electronic boost controller options.

The manual's may not hold higher boost. And can spike. But cost way less. My GReddy holds much better, and came on faster.
