Tucson is a nice town...you'll like it down there and it doesn't get *quite* as hot as it does in Phoenix. You might want to put a dual core radiator at the top of your wish list for the Supra (I have a CSF)...your gonna need the cooling capacity when it's 110 deg outside...might want to swap...
Dude - please write complete sentences, using complete words...you're not using text messaging. That is if you want help from some of the "old heads" here.
That Earls sandwich plate is excellent...machined out of billet aluminum...can't get much better than that ;)
I do believe IJ uses one of those.
Just make sure the filter clears the turbo manifold...a remote filter would make it a lot easier to change though.
I apologize...I didn't realize you lived in Denmark ;)
I could not find much on the SLX (at least I could read), but it does appear to be a true synthetic...likely Grp IV PAO based. Since you live in Europe, you might want to take a look at Castrol Edge 0W-30 or 5W-30. This line of oils is...
Marc - Actually I'm running more than that...closer to 7 quarts. I also have a bigger oil cooler and remote filter with twice the capacity. When I get my new pan, it will be almost 9 quarts ;)
What I do is fill with oil till it reaches the top mark on the dipstick, then add a quart. The...
So you're moving to my neck of the woods...I live North of Phoenix ;)
AEM sells a cleaning kit for that filter...you can find it on the AEM site.
I would run the Mobil 1 till you get out here and get another UOA done at 2500 miles. Oil wise, give the GC a try...Amsoil is good, but you...
If your temp gauge is reading half way, you're pushing 210 deg coolant temps. The ECU pulls timing above 210 deg.
Get your coolant system checked (pressure test) and check the rad to make sure it's not clogged. Might want to check the fan clutch while you're at it.
With the numbers you show for additives, you could actually go longer on this oil ;)
A TBN would be the deciding factor...if it was above 4 or so, no doubt this oil is still good.
OK...my thoughts were if the motor was rebuilt, you might have the metals showing from the break-in...not the...
Did you check for codes?
When you swapped ignitors, did you bolt it to the body and then check the coils?
Check that the ground wires on the intake manifold (next to the #5 runner) are clean/secure.
Yeah it is. I was playing agressor at the Nellis range during a Red Flag years ago and tried to intercept an F-111 doing mach 2 at 100'. The guy was leaving a dust "rooster tail" almost a 1/2 a mile long. Discovered something...couldn't catch an airplane going that fast that low to the...
Yeah he is...just below supersonic too. I wonder how they kept the path over the water clear...considering he's below the tops of all the sail boat masts ;)
