HKS MHG's require a 30 RA or lower spec.
Thickness is determined by how much material is removed from the block and head decks. Simply add both figures in mm to 1.37mm (stock HG thickness compressed) and that is the thickness required to maintain stock compression.
It's really simple for...
You're welcome ;)

BTW - pb92supraturbo's post was esentially correct (before he deleted it)
The Intake Air Temp Sensor connects to pins THA and E2 on the ECU.
On a MAFT Pro on speed density, the ECU reacts (code 24) as if it's disconnected (which it is). The ECU as a result maintains injector volume as if IAT is at 20 deg C (68 deg F - std default). The biggest implication is if...
It could be a lean misfire...I would check the FP relay per this:

Also make sure you don't get a voltage drop across terminals +B and FP (bad contact).
Might want to consider running the FP on a constant 12...
I would check the coolant lines running from the block hardline, to the TB, to the ISCV, down to the fitting on the lower intake manifold under the #2 runner.

The gasket that seals the lower intake to the head also...
Most of the manual trannys I've driven have the "winding" noise you describe, most of the time when decelerating in gear. The key here is to watch the shifts...if the synchros don't have enough friction, you'll feel/hear it. If it's shifting good, it will be fine since the R-154 can use a GL-5...
That's actually the million dollar question ;)
And, I know you've been doing the reading.
In the R-154, either a GL-4 or GL-5 is allowed...the question is how much and what type of friction modifier Valvoline switched to. I have not been able to find any info on it...this is a fairly...
Yep...I already saw that. The post was from July 2007 and illustrates something about what oil companies do...they change formulations. That post was for SynPower 75W-85 that met a GL-4 spec. The SynPower gear oil they sell now is a GL-5 75W-90.
At the time what I posted was correct (I...
Valvoline SynPower 75W-90 is an API GL-5 gear oil...yes it does contains friction modifiers and is formulated for an LSD.
Only time will tell if it will eventually affect the synchros.

Is this a NA or Turbo car? (Your profile says turbo...this is the NA section)
BTW - code 14 is no IGf signal to the ECU and is due to the igniter, ignitor circuit, igniter/coil or igniter/coil circuit.
Best response here ;)
Hommer - Your advice will land the young man in jail...I would think you would have gotten over this kind of behavior many years ago :3d_frown:
gaboon - You're the reason some cops act like they do...my prediction is you'll be some big dude's "bitch" in jail one of...
