Welp, I finally got back into town, and FINALLY picked up my turbo from FedEx.
As I suspected, my short runner 'HKS' style manifold is really designed for an on-center turbine housing, and as such, the compressor cover hits part of the mani.
I had purchased a 1/2" spacer for this issue, but...
Well, I had been intending to utilize the acis can for this purpose, as it simply looked to be a vac cannister with a vsv mounted to it.
And suprasick- why didn't you mount it in the original location- do you have other things mounted below the intake manifold?
I have the same issue, but was wondering if it would be possible to simply retain the na actuator, and use a vacuum resevoir with a one-way check valve, so as to maintain vacuum during ambient/positive manifold pressures?
Can you post a closeup of the lower face of the head? Id like to see the detail around the exhaust side coolant ports.
Ps- i can sell you a set of 24 shims. I junked an old head, and pulled the shims before i did.
They would range in thicknesses between 2.80 and 3.15.
PM me if you want.
Orion- does Suprastore have a black ops/ninja department or something?- lol.
I just now got and email with tracking info, showing that fedex tried to deliver the turbo to me twice already.
I'm out of town, thats why i didn't know about it. Looks like this will all work out.
I don't get it, Precision must have hundreds of distributors, they can't be keeping them all in the dark like this.
I paid 17days ago, and there's still not even any communication from the company??
What would you say i should expect as far as additional delay, at this point?
