As you can tell, not much going on with the build.
Busy with work lately, and not feeling too rich, either. Today i purchased a new boost solenoid and mount.
Still have to finish the downpipe, but once that's done, i can begin fabricating the rest of the exhaust.
Sounds great.
Are you sure that the throttle cable itself is sitting properly in the linkage assembly?
That's happened to me, where it would pull on the linkage/rod, and cause a high idle.
Btw, there are in fact two versions of head studs for the 7mgte- regular, and undercut.
Not sure if one is better than the other, though i've used both.
7MGE has only one knock sensor, and it's not by the oil filter.
It's under the intake manifold, right around cylinder #3. And why are you asking about the 7mge in the 7mgte section?
Use the search button at the top right side of the screen- search knock sensor rewire. This is a very...
Got just a teeny bit of progress done recently, but nothing major.
Got the tubing in that I needed, so I worked on the wastegate merge. Took alot of cutting, grinding, tack-welding, tack-weld removing and realignment, rotating, and just fiddling in general. I was glad to find that I could make...
If you're hitting fuel cut, it'll feel like the engine shut off for microsecond, and you'll get a check engine light on for about 1 to 2 seconds. It usually indicates a boost leak as mentioned above. If that boost gauge tubing has any leaks, it could be the case as well, but check all of the...
No- That was a misunderstanding.
You stay 2.25- 2.5" on the exhaust for the na. The BIC downpipe is indeed for turbo engines.
Just get a standard exhaust. I didn't necessarily mean you should go to the dealer for the exhaust replacement. The are aftermarket companies that make the oem-like...
PS- MFR looks like a pretty good-sized Class D airport, but being as I'm usually in a BE40, I rarely get out to the northwest areas, and when I do, its usually
SEA,CYVR, etc.
LOL.
It's normal(depending on environmental conditions) to have a little white smoke(that evaporates) on startup when cold.
If you're not losing ANY coolant, you're probably fine. If you ARE losing coolant, do a block test and find out for SURE.
Thanks for reading my thread.
You do realize, or course, that your thread title will no longer make sense, right?
You need to change it to "7M install just went 2J" - or something.
AEM is as capable a system as you can get without going to the pro efi or a haltech system, so yes- you can tune to exactly what you want with it.
I'm hoping your new ignition system will cure all your troubles.
Did you get the new speedo cable in it yet?
