My Wastegate runs off my manifold, but I'm going to tap the compressor housing and put it on there. I still don't get you. The valve is located on the intake cam cover, and only lets air pass from the cam cover to the intake manifold. This is the stock setup. Under engine vacuum, the gases are sucked into the intake manifold. Under boost, the valve prevents any pressure from the IM to enter...

It's very possible that the cam seal is not positioned properly. I would take the valve cover off, and inspect the front cam seal.

I run that ebay catch can on mine. I have it between the PCV, and intake manifold. It catches a lot of oil. The only problem is I hit high boost, and it leaks out the bottom and the little view tube on the side due to it being under pressure.
