    If it's slightly out of spec, you'll notice some jerkiness going from no throttle to part throttle while cruising, but it shouldn't effect driving too much.

    Painting what in the interior? For most of it, I would suggest using a Vinyl dye. It won't chip. Vinyl dye'd my Celica's blue interior Black (It's also a MKII Supra dash swap if you care :))

    Are you SURE you're not doing this backwards? a reading of 0.0 is continuity a reading of 1 is NO continuity. Adjust it so it just goes to 0.0, then tighten it down. Edit: I just re-read your post with putting the feeler gauge in, and it not going back to continuity. It's a bitch, it'll do...

    1 usually means infinite resistance on a digital multimeter = no continuity. You want 0 (0 ohms)

    I have mine mounted where the stock tweeters were on my 91, inside the grille above the midrange. You could also mount them on the triangle piece on the doors where the sideview mirrors are.

    Yes, most important is to make sure it's CLEAN. If it's not, the dye will just sit on the surface, and not soak in, then it's prone to chipping. I dyed the interior of my Celica black, but my image host seems to be down right now so I can't show you.

    it may be moving slightly as you tighten it down. Try to continue reading as you tighten. It took me like 10 tries before I got the right position on my TPS.

    How many wires are there on a 7M starter? On a JZ, there's a big wire going to the battery that goes to the stud on the starter, then there's a small wire that comes from the harness to engage the solenoid.

    On which motor? For a JZ, you need something to adapt the 12x1.25mm block thread to the 1/8" NPT. Im not sure what the 7M has.
