If the stock fitting is broken off in the hole, just drill it out and tap for a 1/8" NPT nipple fitting to fit the hose. If the metal surrounding the hole is broken half off, you're stuck with getting a new lower intake.
I would take a look at the coolant lines that route from the hard line around the block to the TB, to the ISCV ;)

Grim is correct concerning the spark plug valley plugs...they seal off oil, not coolant.
I have an IPT built A340E and it more than meets expectations...I've done an 11.8 sec quarter with it ;) I would go with a 3000 stall if you plan on keeping it on the street. Depending on the turbo, you can still get a jump on building boost for a nice launch.
One thing to consider using the AutoLite 3923 plugs...they are shorter than stock by about 1/8". Some aftermarket plug wires do like that and will arc. I like the NGK copper plugs personally.
I just told you the way mine was hooked up...glad it was correct ;)
It appears it does matter.
I was under the impression vac was modulated depending on exhaust back pressure applied to the bottom (braided) fitting. The top ports look like it was a straight through design with a center...
You know...I had a brain fart ;)
It really doesn't matter which side the vac lines are on...the modulator is a flow valve. I was thinking the EGR valve itself...not the case here. For what it's worth, mine has the side you are holding going to the valve, the other side (right in the pic)...
Better pic:
The line needs to be routed from the EGR VSV to the appropriate nipple on the modulator as shown to supply vac to the correct side of the diaphragm inside it.
This pic kinda shows it:
All these have the same answer...the fitting on the back of the manifold supplies...
7M - OEM plugs are steel and are what you want to use. I've used Dorman plugs and had 2 of them blow as you did. Like I said, they are a bit under size for the task...from what I understand, Dorman plugs are based on English measurements, Toyota plugs are metric. I will never use them again...
If you're using Dorman plugs, they are a 4-5 thou too small. The Toyota OEM plugs are metric...they have to be put in with the plug lip recessed ~1/8" past the block opening surface (it's beveled).
