At the current HP (442), he's running the 550's at 90% duty cycle with 45 psi FP. That is already beyond the safe 80% duty cycle limit, and it's on higher FP than you should be running ;) Lose an injector or if it cuts flow (at all), that piston is toast in about 5 milliseconds.

Just test it with 12V: http://www.cygnusx1.net/supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/manual.aspx?S=EC&P=18 If it functions the same way and mates to the harness, it will work...a VSV is just a electric solenoid valve after all. ;)

It's a log style with provision for an external wastegate. I thought it was only available for the 2JZ.

For a conventional oil, SuperTech is actually not bad. SuperTech filters as well...made by Champion Labs, same guys that make Mobil 1 and K&N. I'd use a SuperTech any day over a Fram or any brand that Fram makes. That goes for the Toyota (made in Thailand) filters too.

German Castrol 0W-30....there's specifics in the Lube Section. A lot of folks seem to be running it in Supra motors lately ;)
