My "understanding" on Sprag failure is it happens if you shift during a burnout, the sprag can't cope with the shock load.
(I have my ECU set to cut power on shifts to save the sprags)

I think LHD must change something as the RHD line pressure cable is ALL on the cold side.....
Dunno on the cable length either, back to the RHD/LHD thing.
House freezer doesn't get anywhere near cold enough to make them brittle..
Add to that you're reducing the crush fit so less force is needed to get them in and I can't see it ever being an issue.
Don't pound on it and it should keep going for a long time, puck clutch probably hasn't helped it any as the tend to engage hard.
Maybe dump the thickest gear oil in it you can find to quiet it down some...
That's the LOUDEST I've ever heard it but it sounds like what I described earlier.
The snout on the mainshaft is hardened it's not very deep and in 20 years it wears through, this makes the grumble when idling in neutral with the clutch out as the mainshaft sags against the cluster shaft...
