In the old days we ran 2 smaller turbos to get better response as they had a lower PMoI than a single that would flow the same ;)
Modern BB turbos with tweaked compressors and turbines negate much of this.

There are no "magic" combinations of stock/junkyard parts...
Well going by this you don't..... :nono:
Unless things have changed a HUGE amount I can't see any reason why you would run a true Compound Turbo system on a Spark Ignition engine there just isn't fual available that will make use of the High PR you can achieve, if you're not going for Mega...
Which I have....
I don't halfass repairs.
agreed 100% on finding another Crank, the amount of time and effort these guys go to trying to save fucked parts is a joke... :nono:
Nope ;)
You'd have advanced/retarded it slightly, not enough to actually make a difference to anything it's more as I said to correct for Belts or machine work so you can get it 0/0 again.
Yep one side is a touch advanced the other is retarded, it's to allow for belt stretch/new belt, can't remember exactly but it's only 3/4 of a degree if you use 1/1 or 3/3.
You're describing a slotting machine Dave, single point cutter.
The other way of doing internal keyways is a broach, neither of which will do a Woodruff Keyway, the tool I posted is the only way I've ever done them.
