    Cool, it's a PITA but you only need to do it once! I also found using 4x flat (2 at each end) washers the same thickness as the scraper rails on the front and rear cases gave a much better seal with RTV as it stops the pan distorting.

    Gonna have the same issues with a T04z, the divided adaptor was for my 04z ;) The Compressor cover on both Turbo's is made from the same casting. I ran 3" IC pipes on both Turbos.

    You'll need some sort of spacer anyway as the Comp cover will more than likely hit on the runner/s. Got a pic of the adaptor you bought?

    Why bother? A .8ar T3 housing will perform EXACTLY the same as a .8ar T4 housing as they use the same nozzle dimension, only the flange is different... T4 housings were made so they're a bolton for an existing T4 header.

    Did you install the Flexplate spacers in the correct order? Quite common for these engines to tear the centre out of the plate around the Crank bolts.

    They were ALL revved to 8300 in the standard configuration, only the 7M got lightened and knife edged for the final 7M build. 6M 7M Lightened 7M

    Surface finish from Toyota on both my new head and block were fine for a MHG.

    Biggest cause of RK is simply running low+ poor oil control in the 7M pan.

    GE and GTE are identical, very common for the damper to slip.

    2j Hands down, Mk3's are fat asses so you'll probably burn around about the same fuel either engine just accelerating the mass from a standstill, once rolling I doubt there's going to be a difference.

    As long as your old crank isn't totally trashed on the snout you could have the shop spin it up and polish it then buy and fit an ATI Damper as an upgrade, they're TIGHT as a very tight thing on a stock crank! Drop of 262 loctite on the bolt only + 198 ft/lbs and it'll never come off/loosen...
