Might want to rethink that stance... 98% of the parts available for these cars are "China Shit"....
Difference with China made parts is 1st Gen is usually crap but each run they do they take any and all feed back onboard and improve... not always the case with "Quality Local" made parts...
Might want to drop the attitude there....
If you'd used a slide hammer it WOULD have trashed the column, you found a way around it and it worked you should be happy that you can now pass on something and that I've learned something NOT be a fucking smartarse about it to someone that was...
It's a Davies Craig EWP 110, just bought it at the parts store.
7M's barely move water at idle then cavitate their brains out above 8000 so this killed 2 birds with one stone.
The slide hammer is going to cause damage as it pulls the lock so you're probably going to end up replacing the column anyway, from memory that section is riveted on and can't be replaced on it's own...
Given the HUGE potential for total engine failure after an injector problem I only buy brand name, had a really good run with RC.
(lost an engine on the dyno way back and learnt my lesson)
