time to pull the dash. it's really not as bad as everyone says it is. just take your time. you'll need a 17mm socket and extension, a 10mm socket, and a phillips head screwdriver. when you get to the point where the dash needs to come out, (needs to come out over the steering wheel) look...

make your own harness. it's pretty easy. all you need is some good wire and a relay or two. i'm sure you could find them on ebay. -shaeff

the only reason i got a JDM motor is because i couldn't source a GTE from around here, and the ones that i did find all had problems that i knew about. so i figured i'd take the risk and get one. if i blow it up, i'll surely rebuild it over getting another JDM motor... -shaeff

not quite. motormounts are specific to the year of the car, as in 86.5-88 are the square ones, and 89-92 are the round ones. and to take the discussion even further: you CANNOT put 89+ round mounts on a pre '89 without swapping out the crossmember/subframe. they aren't interchangable. if...
