Hey guys, I was blasting around my block doing test runs in my car a couple days ago to see if I could feel the difference with my exhaust completed, and I definitly do, very cool. However, cruising up the fairly steep hill (in boost, but not more then 4 psi) that goes to my house (say 40ish)...
How about this, all this summer I'll see what its like not to use it and make the final decision from that. Resale value is so far down the list of things I care about its non-existant. I will run this car into the ground before I sell it.
I realize that the mk3 will never be as light as an...
Sounds like something else is the problem... I believe the correct idle is 600-800 RPM. 500-550 is pretty low for a 7M I think.
Did you get any codes at all when you checked it?
Alright, thats why I asked... I need to see if I can get it fixed then.
And the ricers around here have built up such a lead... 3 pts wouldn't do anything for me. :p
Hey guys, I've been debating back and forth for a while now on wether or not to remove my AC system. According to the weight chart SammyDaFish made its near 50lbs off of the front of the car. With the entire system removed. Now, last time I checked my AC didn't work, could have been caused by an...
I noticed that as well... I have to trust their judgement though. What he told me was that the quality of the product and the company themselves caused them to stop carrying them; I just tried to order a bomex lip which didn't work out.
I'd like to know anyone else who has the best price on...
Amsoil 20W-50 full synthetic (still proven to be best)

Amsoil 75W-90 Severe Gear for trans

Yea, I also did something similar with my car on its maiden voyage at night coming back from when I bought it. We hit an 18-wheeler truck tire that was in the middle of the road and it totally messed up my beautiful car. Took the bumper, under cover, headlight guard, and some bracing out... had...
My filler plug is very tight and that bolt seems pretty soft... I'm just afraid I'm going to strip the thing. I need to wait until I get another better wrench and just slam it until it breaks free.
I just thought that it would run out of the filler hole regardless... It's possible to over fill it going through the shifter hole?
I havn't done it yet because the filler plug is pretty tight in there and the wrench I'm trying to use (has some play) I'm not sure if its going to destroy the...
Yea, I've read that as well, I don't remember exactly what you needed to do. What I think it does though is it tells the alarm that the hood is always open so it never arms.
Yea, I noticed as soon as I got the rubber boot off of the shifter I would smell gear oil... it is some pretty nasty stuff.
Mine *shouldn't* be festering... however, the previous owner obviously was mildly retarted for putting in 0W-15 in the engine so you never know what he did to the...
Well, actually being that I don't own a headunit/stereo it was super easy for me to get to the shifter.
I was definitly not going to drain it before I got the shifter + filler plug out, I didn't want to risk being able to not fill it back up again.
Thanks guys, you helped a lot!
