Wow, I didn't quite expect so many peopl to respond. I'm not familiar with all this group A stuff, if there like a thread or page somewhere where I could read up all about it? If I am hearing you guys correctly, depending on wether or not it uses the same wiring clips, it could be like a factory...
Yea, I asked him about the turbo A thing. To be fully authentic though I would want like the entire front with slotted bumber bar and all. I should see what kind of aftermarket things I can get from him.
Yes. The name brand will be of much higher quality I believe. They will use mandrel instead of crush bends (in most situations I don't think exhaust shops have mandrel benders) and you might not get the sound out of the system you buy and have built at the exhaust shop. It is much cheaper IIRC...
I heard from somewhere that it was much harder to install and work with it in blowthrough. Was that true? Or is it simply getting a 3000 pipe replacement, and finding another way to install the air filter element on the accordian hose? And then its just normal? Because if I were to buy a MAFT I...
Hey guys, a buddy of mine is going back to Japan for 10 days and he said any little things I wanted (that can fit in a suitcase or dufflebag) I should give him a list of stuff and he'll look around for me. But when I thought about it I didn't even know what I could ask him for. So what are some...
Thats on the low side of normal IIRC. It might be more accurate to get a mechanical vacuum guage thats more accurate to check for sipping or spiking... that will tell you if there is a problem with many things. http://cygnusx1.net/supra/techtips.html go to the vacuum reading thing and it talks...
I don't think it was just the headlights, though I do not have any electronics in my car besides the stock engine management, I do believe that the gauge cluster dimmed at the same time as the lights did. It has happened before when I'm more or less parked too.
hey guys, driving my car last night and I was turning around in the small developement down the road to me and on the downshift into 1st gear the engine went down to idle speed from about 2.5k and the headlights dimmed a very noticeable amount. My bro in the passenger seat also noticed. So my...
So, now just to make sure. these will replace the the supposed breaking tabs when you replace the swaybars with stiffer ones? If so then I am definitly in, since the end of summer would be when I am ready to do my big suspension upgrade.
Well, tonight I just pulled one out (#1) and it looks like the engine is burning perfectly according to the plug condition. One thing I did notice though (and this could be normal) was that it took next to no effort to unscrew the plug. I basically took it out with my fingers on te wrench. Would...
I didn't touch the plugs/wires at all, I only removed intake piping. IIRC, previous owner put NGK copper in it. I don't know specifically which model. Tomorrow I'll pull one out and see which one it is and what it looks like.
I believe that if I had a boost leak it would probably be in the pipes that I had off correct? Intake manifold to fender was off when I did the TPS. The TB-intake mani gasket was slightly ripped in one layer of it, so when I put it back in I used a small bead of RTV sealant on it. I'll see if I...
