Not too many people use the 1g. It's rather slow and doesn't have much for aftermarket support. Personally I would try to sell it as is.

It will run fine with a bigger pump. But the j tube needs to be drilled out or bypassed.

IF your going to use a twin disk they come with the flywheel and has to be 1jz specific kit if using the r154.

There all 7m blocks. There is a 6m and 7m stamped cranks. There all for the 7m tho.

Coil going out on a ge would effect all cylinders.

Na block will work fine. Just doesnt have the turbo feed on the hot side of the block and no oil squirters and high compression pistons.

You were told wrong. A 1j block is a inch shorter. Has a much shorter stroke that's why it's a half a liter smaller.

Find another block and swap it in or rebuild it and then swap it in. As long as there wasn't serious damage to the rest of the engine everything else should be fine.

^ agreed. Fill the cooling system. Drive it till it's hot. Let it cool down and top off if nesseccary. If air keeps getting in you have a leak. If its boiling over and out the over flow could be cap or bhg.

Back fires can be from being too rich or too lean.

Sounds more like the alternator wire. Pic would help tho.
