No. You use the spark outputs from the 3x plug as they just go to signal the igniter.
I havnt done too much reading on 7m but I believe you would run it like.
Wasted spark in the ignition settings and then
Spark a to the 1-6 coil
Spark b to the 2/5 coil
Spark c to the 3/4 coil.
They look like great filters. Saw them a while ago but don't think they had come out yet.
Even still the golds are awesome on there own. I use a gold with redline 5/30 oil. Around 8k intervals.

Pps is 2 wires from the connector on the rack to the body harness through the engine harness.
Heater just take the supplied vacuum hose(that comes from the manifold) that goes to the vsv and apply it straight to the valve. This will bypass the valve and you will have heat when ever you need...
If the battery is not being charged it can go dead from repeated cranking.
Also if the battery is old and has been drained a few times likely it needs to be replaced.

The gauges is a different part of the rheostat. It's easy enough to check. If you ground the wire for the climate control and it comes on then it's the rheostat.
