Well, the title says it all. Mine is a little on the messed up side and the plastic (was it rubber at some time?) has cracked off nearly all of it except for around 3/4 mounting holes. They were not leaking before and 3/4 of them were very loose when I went to take them out.

Erm... I think not. I also think not Autometer either, if you're going to spend money on instrumentation you might as well get it right the 1st time with something known to be accurate and high quality.
BTW, I will also mention that when I was hunting down my vibration, it was not as easy as just one thing.
I replaced the driveshaft, it got a tiny bit better, then the differential and it was just different. Then new wheels and tires finally fixed it.
I just bit the bullet and bought the SST mentioned in the TSRM.
After getting it out I realized there was not going to be any way in hell that some weird grease like method was going to pull that sucker out. It too some force even with the proper tool.
60mph on jack stands with the suspension at full droop... you're crazy. LOL
Rotors/shocks? Your friend is a bit off the beaten path if he thinks those are interchangeable.
Driveshaft
Half shafts
Tires
Wheels
Wheel bearing (unlikely it would present with only vibration though)
Differential...
