thats exactly what the cps signal is. 24 tooth and then 1 cam. Expect there is 2 pickups you could usefor the 1 tooth cam.

No. The cable that goes to the black and starter is tied together and has 2 big wires. 1 goes from battery to starter. Other goes from ground post to block.
If you ground out the positive post when the ground post is ground your going to short out the battery and the wires will prolly catch on...
The positive cable is supposed to go to the starter and the the ground goes to the block.
Then there is the little wire which powers the fuse box which powers everything including the signal wire to tell the starter to start.
