When you have no afm it's because there is a map sensor I place of the afm. Either from maft pro or a standalone.
A ffim is a front facing Intake manifold.
The wastegate will vent the same amount as soon as the target boost level is reached. Its either open or closed. The less amount of time for high boost is not much at all. maybe a couple seconds tops.
Boost leak is after the turbo. So when your leaking air the turbo is spooling up more because the wastegate is not opening and sucking more air past the afm.
So your saying i can reliably control boost on a 1k hp 2j with a 38mm gate? The wastegate is what controls boost and boost is a major factor of hp on a turbo engine.
But there is not set gate size for a certian hp.
Tial is 44 and pte is 46. Iirc they use the same flange tho.
Depending on boost levels and talking about crank or wheel hp. A single 44 would prolly be plenty.
7m is non interferrance meaning valve could be all the way open at tdc and nothing will hit. No1 will be at tdc compression while no 6 will be at end of exhaust stroke and Begining of intake stroke so both intake and exhaust valves could be slightly open.
