if it cant be drilled thru, the shop should tell you. they may just recomend filling it in to stop the corosion.
wasnt meaning to be a dick with the shop comment, but i let the experts at the shops awnser questions that im unsure of, and there normally insured incase of accidents with...
^ what he said. they corrode fast. best if you want a cig lighter, is get a new one. there a fairly universal item, just 2 wires to join. i know i can get a new one from canadian tire for 10 bucks, so id assume autozone or someplace would carry them aswell.
yeah wont work. it will idle fine and rev in neutral, but it will hit limp home mode once under load. as far as i know the hot wire MAF (gm style) is only one that will work pre and post turbo (with the MAFT translator)
the cluster is a direct swap. as i have a US spec dash in my canadian model (supermonitor) as long as its from the same model (turbo or NA) you will be fine, as the tach input is diferent between the 2.
or you can take the cluster apart and replace just the spedo head. its the same for all...
ouch thats crappy.

the thing is most new cars arnt designed to be repaired. just replaced.
you suspose to get a new car on lease, and when it breaks down, you trade it on on a new one.
if its staying mostly stock id go for a new OEM style HG, casue yeah a mhg would be overkill. a stock one torqued properly will probably outlast the car/motor till it needs a full rebuild.
you will still probably need to get the head machined, as it more than likely has damage from the gasket...
i would if i had the chance, sadly all the supra's local to me are owned by older people, and hence are all autos.

more info on auto window up mod?
i dont know about the states exactly but in canada i can go to the dmv and get a new (province specific) vin assigned. once the car is finished, it just has to pass a standard inspection under a rebuild status(like it was in an accident and repaired), and once passed new papers are made, and a...
