there a few on here who can read japanesse, and i got someone else on it to. might have the wrong unit is true, as the chaser/crown aslo had tems (with ride hight adjust!)
post a pic of the instructions, but yes there are 2 differnt tems setups for the supras. 88 under had tems ecu in the hatch area, and 89+ had it up front under the dash somewhere. but that should plug into the 2nd harness like riyadyar said, from the ecu out to the motors.
+1 with enraged. if you got it use it. but as its heaveier you may have to add some brackets to help hold the pipes, rather than relying on just the clams and couplers.
it can be done if you take the tranny off, remove the motor mounts and lift the engine up a bit. but cleaning it is a pain still in the car, and since its like 70% disconected anyways, best is just to pull it out and put on a stand, then go from there.
check the rear seal on the master. odds are your booster is filling with fluid. if you look under the booster where the master joins, the brake fluid will disolve the paint.
if its doing it in the mornings or after it sits for a while sounds alot like stem seals. replacing them isnt hard, just very time consuming with the head on.
though hopefully its not rings. we will see when the comp test come back
and welcome to SM! were alot more friendlyier than SF,
i chose option b, then you know what you have, vs a JDM mystey engine that you dont know its history.
as for why it blew, i was already a jdm motor? only thing i can think of is previous damage from the previous owner
