on the tsrm its terminals THA and e2(sensor ground) for wire color, im not sure as mine is a 88 (yellow plug) but the solid Light green wire is THA, and brown is e2
the oil rings are suspose to be 180 from eachother, according to the tsrm http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/manual.aspx?S=EM&P=90
though some tend to put them only 45-90 degress, or really close togther, and they wont scrape the oil off the cyl wall as effecticly and it will end up...
that indentation is normal actually for a OEM style head gasket. its casued by the metal ring around the bores in the hg.
with a stock gasket and arps, should be fine for a quite some time, as your non-turbo.
that is semi correct and semi wrong. that works on a turbo converted motor, as the stock injectors rarley hit the full cc/min flow rate, which is just the factory detune for longevity/emmisions. but the 7m already has a boost sensitive fuel reg, and at the 12psi your running, you have maxed...
your boiling over, which means collant isnt cooling or flowing right. common prob is mineral/rust deposits in the cooling jackets that dodnt allow full transfer of heat. and having the ac on uphill in the heat was to much for it to handle. also im assuming that you have antifrezze in the rad...
that wont help with fuel cut unless you get the supporting mods. the stock 440ccc injects wont spray more than 440cc, regardless of the fuel pressure behind it. even so, with the stock ct 26 and the lex/550 mods, you dont really need a afpr, but a walbro(or equivlent high flow pump) is...
general rule with ebay is unless there stock or brand name parts(still gotta be carefull due to alot of immitation items) , dont buy parts that move. the cheap ones are fine if your building a dedicated track car, casuse if it fails, you just put the car back on he trailer and go home. on the...
i did mine from underneith the car, doing it thru the top is just a pain, plus youd have to pull the uppers out. screwdriver bit on a ratchet works well to.
im not a turbo expert but i did do a search on this. a gt30 or gt40 seems to be what people are using for the 1j single, atleast in the JZX100 useres.
heres a post from a jzx fourms
As for a turbo, what sort of power do you want to make? I would HIGHLY recommend a GT35R, with a .58 T4...
pretty much. it was what was used before maftpro was available. was available in both the stock 440 and the 550 injector models (by swaping a rom chip) also has some limited tunning options, but could be used with the fcon and gcc to tune a bit farther. i own one and works great, though finding...
