You can get the Ishino set online for approx $154.....free 2 day shipping. Just google Supra Ishino Headgasket Set. Same as Toyota factory stuff. I got new bolts from dealer for $36. Be prepared to replace the water hoses while head is off, as the ones against the firewall are a bitch to...

    running rough

Have you driven it for about 30 miles. Stop and go traffic, and some hwy. The ECU must reset/learn itself after the battery has been diconnected.

    backfire,hissing and stalling

Thats...gasket leak, not vacuum hose leak. use the red stem on the carb spray to get as close along the gasket areas of the intake manifold, and related parts as possible. When you spray in the leak, the fluid will get sucked into the manifold and cause the engine idle to change. Try it a...

    everyone and anyone help

If you look closely, you will see that it is a radiator. The top tank, with the cap, and the bottom tank, and the fins(core) in the middle. But, I'll admit it, when I first got the car, and that light would come on and off as I went around corners, I thought it was some kind of 'off-level', or...

    heavy smoke

I've read here that Sea Foam was very good. I found a site by google-ing, and read their hype. Probably one of the best.

Which really means..."per-forum-upgrades"....only those mods that you learn about on these forums. :biglaugh:

    backfire,hissing and stalling

While the engine is idling, spray some carb cleaner or brake cleaner around all the gasket mating areas. If the idle changes, spray some more in that spot to find out exactly where it is. Sounds like there might be a gasket leak.

    camshaft help

^ Like IJ said. Closing the valve lash adjustment is NOT how to get more valve opening. I've seen several heads with burnt exhaust valves due to them being adjusted TOO tight.

    Car Wont Start??

Got spark?? Yes. Then must be lack of fuel. Pull cold start injector fuel line (banjo fitting on intake manifold) and place the end into a jar/container. Try cranking the engine. (The fuel pump should run, but won't stay running in the 'on' key position until ECU sees the engine is...

    new spark plugs

Last night I read an article in 'Underhood' magazine about spark plugs in NASCARs. They use special plugs for many reasons I won't go into, but the article talked a bit about 'street' use, and turbos. It seems that copper is thought to be the best for heat dissipation. They also talked about...

O-rings.. where do i get them

Bosch injector o-ring kits are what to get. Carquest has them, probably the zone, or any parts house. Cause they are very universal. I paid like $5 each set. =$30

Getting my head shaved down, how much is too much?

Do the valve job.!! Talk to the shop about doing a GOOD adjustment on valves. Mine came out great, others have said they didn't. The valves should be adjusted on the bench, using the correct shims.

    new spark plugs

We recommend that you try and stay away from any platinum, iridium, or "trick" plugs. These tend to run too hot with CD ignitions like the MSD and can prematurely fail. Bosch plugs are fine, just use a copper type that is a heat range or two colder than stock. -------------------- MSD Tech...

    EGR crap

You only drill the gas cap if you are removing the Evap canister (near the heater valve), and are plugging the lines. EGR gone will not screw up ECU. Cooler can be left in place, won't hurt anything. If you remove the cooler cover, you will have to block off the exhaust opening. Search...

    rear bar

The bar is called a 'sway' bar. The plastic parts are called the 'swaybar end-to-body links'. After market ones are probably gonna be metal (better), depends on the parts house you go to. They run approx. $20-$30 US for the pair. Sold in a kit.

    new spark plugs

I run Autolite Platinums, $5.96 full retail. You can get them cheaper. I ran non-platinums for a while, no problems, but platinums will last 3x longer. So you don't have to do the change-out as often. Iridiums are too $$$ for the spark. We only use Autolite at the shop, as we have seen...

    Emission system DP (dashpot) question

I believe it is there to 'cushion' the throttle when you let off suddenly. It only 'slightly' slows down the force of the return spring. I think your problem, like mine too seems to be, is in the computer system. Whether its the TPS, AFM, or O2, I'm not sure. For example...I was getting a...
