If its the rubber seal on the body that the hatch closes on, its available at the dealer for aprox $75. They wear out and get cracks, etc.

    Not the usual waterfall sound....

Thats a weird one. Florida=humidity. Is the drain hose for the a/c evaporator box plugged? It comes out thru the firewall at passenger foot area in engine compartment. I've seen several plugged. Condensed water will get trapped in the box and slosh around and make some gurgle sounds.

My car gets hot on the highway.

There is a thermal bi-metal spring on the front of the clutch. When the radiator gets really hot, that spring moves and closes an orifice inside the clutch. Then the fan clutch should 'lock up'. When I was in doubt of a fan clutch back when I was a tech at the Toyota dealer in the 80's, I...

Go to (don't call) a couple of recommended shops in town and get some quotes. I believe there is a labor time in the book.

    Not the usual waterfall sound....

Have the cooling system pressure tested. If the heater core is leaking it will show up, as with any other leaks. Gurgle sound IS air in the core. I took the toggle off the thermostat, drilled the hole to 5mm, the system burped itself free of air in 3-4 days. BUT....if it returns....probably...

    Bhg??????

A fan clutch can be had from a parts house for about $80. A thermostat is a must. A 180* is easily gotten. A 160* is not going to help, as these engines run warm any way, and you'd be over 160* in a couple of miles. Be sure to snip off the toggle on the stat, and drill out the hole to...

    Oil leak....???

Best to go ahead and buy another compression gauge with longer hose at an auto parts store, or sears, or tool outlet. I'm a mechanic for 30 years, and I would not want to do an 'in-the-car' valve seal change on the supra. If you do, follow the proceedures carefully, and don't mix anything up...

    Oil leak....???

I called around to a couple of parts houses first, then the dealer. Sometimes the parts houses have seals and gaskets in stock and cheaper. Of course, if your already at the dealer, a couple of bucks more, done shopping.
