Well for something like that i'd really start with a rebuild. 217,000 is a lot of miles to build a high hp application with.

I'm trying to help my friend out with his 1J because he has a awesome single setup but stock injectors. I have some 550cc top feed injectors and the 2j rail is top feed so I wasnt sure if I could get those to work. What if I changed the lower runners or are they different as well?

Mine wouldn't start after it was warmed up either. Turned out to be the starter. I was told the magnets inside expanded due to the heat. Changed it and never had the problem again.
