I put N/A internals in a GTE block then used an N/A head with GTE electronics...not sure why I went that route but it's awesome. I'm running 10psi which is good for me until I finish my 2JZ.
From what i've read the USDM 2J uses a MAF system. Mine didn't come with the sensor so will one from a 7M work? How hard is it to convert the system to a MAP sensor? Would I have to have a piggyback system or could I try to get a JDM harness and ECU as I was told they utilize a MAP sensor?

Ok guys this is my first JZ engine so i've got a few questions so please bear with me.
1. Will a 1J head gasket work on a 2J? (it has a BHG)
2. Will a 1J hydraulic fan work on it? (he gave the clutch fan away)

BHG...luckily my friend Steve gave me a 1j headgasket (hope it works) and a exhaust manifold for a t3 turbo. I have a Holset HX40 i'm gonna bolt for my first JZ N/A -> T. I'm so excited!
Ok I got a 2JZGE with ecu, harness, accessories, and auto transmission today in exchange for an old xbox and Halo 2. He had no idea what he had (didn't bother telling him either :naughty: ). It's from an SC300 and will be going in an 86.5 N/A. Just wanted to share my christmas present to myself.
do the knock sensors on a 7mgte connect together in the harness or are they seperate all the way to the ecu? i'm trying to replace the rear one with new wiring (previous owner had cut and rewired it 6 times!)

ok i rechecked the intercooler piping and the vacuum line for the bov...i test drove it and nothing changed...would the pcv system at the throttle body being open cause a leak beause someone told me it was fine to leave open...in fact the whole pcv system is missing
