My 87 n/a(sport as well) weighs exactly 3400 lbs. Weighed it on a CAT scale. I think the pps only comes on the 89+ models(I don't have it). With PPS WIthout PPS The PPS has the electronic control valve, while the non-PPS doesn't.

Those are pretty cool. I've been wanting to do that for a while, just haven't had the time. I only wished to point out that, if installed correctly, the cheap lead ones will work quite well, and last a long time. They definitely don't look as clean as those, though :)

As long as you get the solid(Not Painted) terminals, and don't over-tighten the bolts that hold the wires in place, the lead terminals from any parts store work well. you also need to have your battery tied down, so the battery doesn't move around and pull the wires out.

If you really want them in your car, modify or build new brackets for them. A tape measure should answer your question pretty quick, and tell you what you need to do to make them work.

Audio shop will have the fuse holders you want as well.

ring gaskets keep it from leaking :) As far as direction, it should be marked in and out if it is directional. Check the instructions to be sure.

Looks more like the clear coat is coming off the driver's side quarter panel, or someone did a poor job of painting over body work. I'd be more concerned with rust at the top of the inner fender well, around where the strut mount bolts to the body, over the top of the tire.

MSD coil here. $40 or so at the parts store. 2 wires to cut, connect rings, and install. Still need to make a bracket for mine, though. Zip ties are tough ;)

I'd start with the timing as well. If the ignition timing is good, I'd check to make sure you're not a tooth off on the timing belt.

You can also put a small bolt through the hole with a nut on the other side, so the head of the bolt contacts the switch. Never have to worry about the rubber wearing out again.

lol, maybe they just threw in whatever they had at the time? Neither of my motors are imported, though one of them was originally a turbo block, I think... Edit: Actually, both of them are 86.5's. Maybe the T handle is a hold over from the mk2?

Both my 87's(n/a's) have T handles, with sticks.

10w-30 Castrol GTX. 210,000 + miles on this motor. The valve train ticks a little, but that's due to worn shims. New motor: Castrol GTX 5w-30, after initial 500 mile break in with a non-detergent oil.

Actually, by double nutting the stud, you probably bound the stud and the helicoil. Don't be surprised if, when you try to remove the stud, you get the helicoil as well. Hopefully it won't be when you're trying to remove the ex. mani., and the nut is seized on the stud. Gets kinda messy...

Pull the plugs, spin it over, and see if that frees it up. Wondering if maybe you're hydro-locking.

Actually, I was trying to point out that, unless the spring broke, or was removed, there is no way for it(ACIS valve inside the intake) to lock closed. I had to physically tie it closed when I tested it. It would be locked open, and you would get the "surge" at around 3800 to 4k that everyone...
