    Finally Finished!!! Woot!!! Thanks!!

Yup. As they said, it's pretty easy. Should take you a half hour, maybe a bit more. Make sure you have another throttle body gasket on hand, just in case you damage the one that's on it now.

Did the Head Bolt fault affect N/As?

Properly maintaining the cooling system solves that problem. The egr plate doesn't have coolant flowing through it, iirc, just exhaust gases. I have a head sitting on a bench in the shop, so I'll check tomorrow to be sure. Yes, the back of the motor does get hotter, as it's so far away from...

Injectors not firing. HELP!!! After BHG job

You definitely need to fix the harness before you put in another ecu. What year, and standard or auto? I have a spare ecu for an 87 standard ge.

    code 51, rebuild won't start

You have to set the crank at zero, AND the cams on their marks in order to be at TDC. The crank will turn twice to every one rotation of the cams, so it's very easy to get it 180 out.

    MK1 brand products

suprastanger: I'm using off the shelf dampeners. He asked me for information on the car, and sent me a particular set of springs and sleeves. I paid... much more than the e-bay stuff, and getting the set-up was a bit tricky(my first time), but it's worth every penny :)

    Swapping in rebuilt motor

All tune up components(plugs, wires, cap, rotor), timing belt, t.stat,, all the rubber hoses at the back of the head, all the seals under the timing belt(cams, front crank, oil pump shaft), and any other hoses that look worn- especially coolant hoses.

    Spark plugs?

Tell them it's an 87, instead of 86.5. I don't remember if the mkii used the 13/16" plugs or standard 5/8", but it could be the issue.

    Unknown Warning Light

Might check the grounds in the tail lights as well. Just don't over tighten them, or you'll strip/ break the plastic.

The tank has a drain plug... Drain it, fill it with new gas.

    MK1 brand products

I'm using them now. If it wasn't from Wisass, I wouldn't have bothered. I should say they don't lower the car much, and aren't really intended to. I'm much more interested in the handling aspects, and I got what I wanted :)

That's not necessarily true. TIP Engineering has a very nice spring and sleeve set-up for Bilstien struts. Uses Hypercoil springs, and handles quite well :)

    7M-GE Rebuilt Reliability?

The "reliability" of any rebuilt engine is only as good as the shop that does the work, and the "reliability" of the owner to maintain it correctly. The downfall is usually in the second part of that statement. My 7mge has 212,000+ miles on it, with a head gasket job at around 150k. If you...

    XTD Clutch scam!

Just a little update, as I posted about a year ago that I bought one of these for my N/A. The clutch itself has help up great. Still chatters, though. Recently pulled my trans. to swap to a fresh one, and did notice something peculiar. Although the clutch disk(Stage 3 6 puck made from their...

How to tell if valve guides or seals are bad?

Cool man. I must have misread it. Turbo needs rebuilt anyway, then. Probably not enough break in yet, but its good to see someone paying attention to their car :) Is there oil in your inner cooler piping as well?

    Front wheel bearing adjustment?

As much as people love loud exhaust on their Supra's, I wouldn't be surprised if you couldn't hear the bearing roar. That said... There is a snap ring in the back of the knuckle that holds the bearing in. You have to remove the rear cover, remove the stake nut, press out the hub, remove the...

How to tell if valve guides or seals are bad?

Have you visually checked the valve seals? It would be easy to get one or two on crooked. If you're only getting oil in two cylinders, it would seem the turbo would be an unlikely suspect. How many miles do you have on the motor? What oil did you use to break it in?

NEW INFO! Problem with fuel injectors! Please HELP!!

Just outta curiosity, how long was the motor sitting? How did you pull and install the engine? Usual SMOP(pull the harness through the fire wall, leaving it all connected to the engine)? Is there gas in the tank(dumb question, but it happens...)? With the key on, is the CEL lit?
