Harnesses give more advantages then safety. They hold you into your seat. You think your Supra can create some G's in a corner with you modded suspension and sporty tires? Try holding yourself center on your seat in a car with 315/35-18 Hoosier R6 tires and you'll find a harness is extremely...
Well IJ, I do plan on eventually reworking the majority of the frame. I do nto want you guys to get the wrong impression. The beam connecting the two main frame rails at that point is garbage as you can see. However both frames rails themselves seem to be perfectly fine. I think some 1/8...
I know a lot about how precise this needs to be. However I do not have a welder nor am I the greatest fabricator. One question though, what do you mean by painting the inside? How might you go about that? Paint the peice before it goes on?
I would definitly consider some head work and a cam. Just make sure with the cam that there is little is any actual overlap or you'll lose boost through the exhaust manifold.
I removed my rear subframe today to find something ugly. The rear most mount on the left side of the car has a decent amount of rust. I do not think the integrity of the frame rail running the length of the car has been reduced much. However the rail that goes between the two long frame rails...
Most people think the MK3 is too heavy to clide well. They think that you need either a strong e-brake pull or a good clutch kick to get it loose. I tell you what I can break my Supra way loose with just steering, nothing else. I can also do it with most any combination of steering, brakes...
It could be the reason for the noise and the play in the steering wheel. I just can not see it making the car handle that crappy unless it is not turning both wheels. For that to happen the rack shaft would have to be broken, basically...
Hmm... Very loose steering and crappy handling along with a clanking... Check underneath the front end. Sounds like maybe your sway bar is disconnected either because the nut came off a link on one side or something broke.
Why would you use a drag radial for racing side from drag? You obviously do not contain much knowledge about racing yet you want to do it. Whatever, go get some Hoosier A6 DOT radials.
Doubt it. You almost definitly need to press around the shafts so a plate will not work. If you're good you can just use an aluminum or brass punch and a hammer and gradually drive it in.
LOL IJ, I used to drive my old N/A Supra with bald tires in the snow. Back before I knew a thing about cars...
I won't knock sliding around on the streets. However I do recommend doing it when no traffic is around. Not only is it less dangerous but there is less chance that someone will...
I would just choose the coilover setup by choosing the spring rates I want and see whats closest. I would also make sure whatever I got had preload-independent height adjustment.
