Cam position sensor housing? Turbo feed/drain on the block or turbo itself? You pulled off the timing casing to see if you've got oil leaking from your cam seals yet? Just throwing out any ideas I can think of.
Was just poking around a bit and found this. Figured I'd share it in case anyone hasn't seen it yet :)

Now if only they'd let him race at Mission again...kicked him off the track because he ran in to the 9's and doesn't have his drag racing license :icon_razz
There must be different revisions of the cometic gasket. I did mine last year and didn't have to remove any rivets. And yes, I did know about the rivet clearance issue before hand and check, not just a, "well it's still working for now!" :icon_razz.
Just figured I'd let everyone know that it was a bad soft line. After replacing both front lines (they were both in pretty bad condition), front rotors are within 10*F of each other after a good drive and I actually noticed a much firmer and responsive pedal.
Yeah, just looks like it's cold. I'm in Abbotsford and my car takes a good 15 - 20 minutes of driving (not sitting in the driveway idling) to stop putting some sort of steam out the back of the tailpipe. Doesn't look bad at all. Take it for a good 30 - 40 minute DRIVE (not idle) and it would...
From what I know, most will torque the stock bolts to 75 ft/lbs. Beyond that I don't know what Toyota did in terms of year to year changes on that issue.
Here's the TSRM version.

And trust me, you'll know if it's too loose. I had mine looser than it should have been and at certain rpm's, the harmonic wave action of the loose belt was causing it to slap against the side of the...
Last I checked Cometic is a metal head gasket. I have one on my vehicle, and I put it on :icon_razz. You don't need it as smooth as an HKS one, but I have no idea what stock RA is on a factory block.
Yeah, everything's going to come off and I'm going to do all the holes. I've been looking for 90 degree drills/attachments but haven't found anything with a 1/2" chuck >_<. Drilling out a manifold gasket won't be a problem. Should I be buying a new manifold gasket or is it safe to reuse this...
Yeah, probably because they put their head studs in upside down ;)
One of my buddies actually did the some thing. He swore to me that there was no alan key hole, but yeah....foot in mouth much? :icon_razz
I hope you didn't damage threads while locking on to them. I'd run a nut up and down the side you locked on to before reusing and see there's any rough spots.
I can't find the thread this very second, but someone actually compared his EGTs with and without EGR hooked up and it made a difference of 200*F. That's a HUGE difference. EGTs on a forced induction vehicle are high as it is, why would you want to make it that much higher, especially with an...
I didn't think it was possible to have fragmented and run on sentences at the same time. Might want to clean up the post a bit because that was almost like work trying to figure out what you wrote there :icon_razz
Don't the cams come with some sort of timing guide of their own? Do you have...
