Last year when I went racing I was a Nissan 280Z, and that MR2 (actually a 300ZX) would beat me for sure b/c Nissan didn't have turbos back then and all MR2s have turbos.
Yep, he blew his engine and called it quits with Supras :(
Happily, Matt here is keeping his shell in one piece and having it live again (which Rob really wanted)
Albert- vendors need not apply for a group buy, and you're a vendor! ;)
I'd like to see it, but it does seem a bit steep. I'd be much more comfy at the $100 price point or so. This is something I would buy, very interested!
Kinda cool, this kind of gathering
Also, watching this video, spotted a white 89+ mk3, center of screen at 1:47...anyone here?

More good news, finally purchased a 4.3 rear end! Many thanks to Devin for offering it up :D
I also traded my stock hood for a carbon fiber piece, many thanks to Mr Getske for that!
Only thing I'm waiting for now is the head to finish being machined and its off to the races to assemble!
Thanks dan!
Andy- decent clearances all around- 1st gear seemed a litttle looser than it was before with the MC thrust washer installed, but it was still in spec so I'm not worried about it.
Sounds much like my cometic MHG.
SIP racing had cometic spec out diff thicknesses for him, iirc titan does it too (not sure on that one though)
edit: remembered I had talken a picture of mine installed, here it is:
After more than 4 months of waiting, my transmission parts have finally arrived!
The head porting is done, so all I have to wait for now is the machine shop to finish up the valve guides and machining! As far as I know, I have all the parts to start reassembling the engine once that last bit...
If I remember correctly, it was a valve issue- either broken/cracked/burned and the flame was able to get back into the manifold where the air/fuel charge was.
Alternatively, I've heard of nitro engines torching themselves when a pool of fuel is allowed to collect in the intake- but I think...
I have a Dahn Automotive 3.5" Aluminum driveshaft, but I have yet to run it yet. Reason I went for it was I am planning on sapping to a 4.3 rear end and wanted the extra stability the 3.5" shaft provides at higher shaft speeds. Once I get the car reassembled ans tested, I'll let y'all know what...
Waiting is weak! I wanna do stuff, but with no parts there's nothing to do x.x
Pumps have been working great so far, I'm considering welding a camry sending unit cover onto the tank so I can put the silencers on the pumps (and so I can service them without as much issue)
