All you can do is pull the trans and evaluate the damage. I've seen bellhousings be destroyed but you didn't know it until it was apart.
At this point my guess would be clutch disc failure or a pressure plate failure. Flywheel failures usually leave the car undriveable.
edit: I'm thinking...
With the rods, the holes in the bearing don't matter with eagle rods. The oil is coming from the inside crank not from outside the bearing like the mains. On stock rods there was a squirter hole that lined up with the bearing hole, but that doesn't exist on the eagles.
I'll check tonight, but I oriented the rods the same way the stockers were in referance the the bearing indents. iirc the indented ends faced the intake side of the engine, but don't put them in until I confirm that.
As for the clips, I cut grooves into 2 old valves and used my chin on a...
Are you understanding why I had made the suggestions I had made now? ;)
We'll get ya squared away sure enough Emilio. I'm sure we can get Blue Supra into the 14's fo sho!
All you can do is inspect everything under the car to see if anything stands out. Sparks can mean a lot of things- broken clutch/engine/trans/diffy as well as you may have hit some metal object in the road. Start with a thorough underbody inspection- if you don't have the means to lift the car...
Seems like the WG would hang open given that design, but again- I'm open to new ideas, plus it does look very clean!
Not to mention all black -4 an fittings with matching hose, I'm so jelly!
I love my ARZ brakes, and the 13" rotor kit fits under these 5Zigen FN01R-C's. I do have a 10mm spacer in there, but the 17x8 +45's would clear even without the spacer.
Hey, cool! lemme find a thread I made about it. Blast and a half, although its looking like the machine work will not be done on my engine in time D:
Edit: here it is http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?146266-Powercruise-video-on-my-Supra&highlight=powercruise
I'm still going, but...
I'm happy to report this year at the same event we had a better system so the announcer got info for drivers and vehicles asap. The guy was even able to correctly ID most of the cars he didn't have info on!
They can learn (or hire better announcers) :P
All of the older Toyotas I have worked on have had that shim between the engine and trans. It does 2 things: First, it keeps crap out of the flywheel/clutch/torque converter area. The second thing it does is locate the starter at the right position for proper engagement.
You want that shim...
I have seen luck with putting a recirculation fitting on a BOV, then running a length of pipe to the fender well to deflect/reduce the noise. Not sure if it would work in your case though since you didn't see much difference with it recirc'd.
I thought it was all a big joke, until he did it again...and again, until the day of competition. When he announced my name and car correctly, he sounded so surprised!
lol
I know what those car's options were, it was the announcer that had no idea. His (close-to) exact words:
"Alright, next race- in the Lucas lane we have...looks like a Nissan 280Z, and in the Coca-cola lane; one of those Toyota MR2's. This should be a pretty straight forward race, folks...
