The lipp traction arms are pretty damn beefy, but the A1's are also better than what it came out with from the factory, plus the A1's have heim joints whereas the Lipp use poly bushings.
The engine would if done properly, but you will have to do some work to the tranny. The GTE has oil squirters and two knock sensors, whereas the GE doesn't have oil squirters and only one knock sensor. I'm sure there are some other small differences (get a GTE oil pump, they have taller gears...
I'd prefer to have steel as it insulates better on the cold side than AL will, but it really doesn't make that big of a difference, just easier to weld ;).
I would start out with setting the rev limit closer to stock and get a good feel of your powerband there. If if looks like it will be making more power after that mark, then start bumping it up some ;).
^Or if you want a more even load or want to reused them too ;). Also, pay no attention to the comment of getting bigger pistons, they are not needed until you take the engine to a machinist and they deem it is necessary.
