No, was never changed. The community years ago did some research on the head bolts and came up with the 76ft/lb spec based off some testing of the bolts compared to the 2JZ IIRC. Wish I could find that old write up on it, but I think the link is dead.
Right tires make the difference. You don't go driving in the rain with racing slicks on, so why do you drive in the snow with summer tires? (like a lot of idiots do).
"Dry" means a number of different things, and in this case, you're wrong ;)
- The mold is layered with dry carbon and the vacuum bag is used to pull the resin in.
- The carbon is pre-impregnated with carbon and then they vacuum bag it and autoclave it to cure.

Parting it out doesn't fix the problem of you needing a car now. Parting out takes time...lots of it. You're better off buying a cheap beater and parking the supra until you can get it fixed (takes time to fix too).

Piggyback doesn't adjust timing (though it can adjust it indirectly as adjusting the AFM signal changes the timing map, this is mainly why you tune conservatively with piggybacks).
Well, if the timing belt snaps, it will leave you stranded, but won't do internal damage (engine is non-interferance). My point is, if you want to save money, save up to do everything right all at once instead of doing each part multiple times.
