My restoration project - Rusty 89

Update...installed a few things into the engine bay - cleaning things such as the wiring harness and all the parts is such a pain in the ass....and they never come out quite clean enough (take the fuse box for example...) - oh well, shit happens.

    Suspension troubleshooting

generally it will be the lower ball joint that is the culprit, as it is the most heavily loaded....Toyota acknowledged this and thus the lower is easily replaced (and relatively cheap too)

    Power antenna mounting

I don't know if I am retarded, blind, or I have lost parts, but for the life of me, I can't figure out how to install the power antenna. Keep in mind that I have had my car apart for over a year, and my rear quarter panels were replaced. Is there some sort of bracket that the antenna attaches...

    Official Samco 7m hose sets.

Have you talked to any of the vendors on this site with regards to purchasing the hose sets? I'm guessing these hoses would get made quite a bit sooner if Samco is aware that there is interest from vendors.

    would these fit???

hahaha look at the rim size versus tire profile (225/60/18) That wheel would be way too high for the supra as our stock size was 225/50/16

My restoration project - Rusty 89

Yeah, that picture is deceiving - up close, the wheel is black. I did get new buttons from toyota, I think they were about 140 together. As far as I know, the horn pad was finished with the same coating as the steering wheel.

crank pulley differences through the years

Was there a difference in crank pully(harmonic dampeners) throughout the years? I bought one from a member on this board and it is different from the one currently on my engine - this new one has an insert "inside" the bore of the belt grooves where as the old one was hollow (like most i've...

My restoration project - Rusty 89

for the wheel, horn pad, and the e-brake lever it was $140. Durability is supposed to be equivalent to brand new, so that is a small price to pay for "new" leather.
