    Let's talk A/C Condensers !!

The only differences are the brackets. Some condensers have a different line configuration and didn't have a pusher fan. Either could probably work fine but the bottom left side may have/be missing brackets that need to be modified.

http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/EPC/291420/catalog.aspx?F=2211&P=2 There are two pieces that go between the IAC and the intake manifold. One is a plastic spacer, the other is a check valve.

    Code 52 info

No problem good luck! There are some write ups on how to do the knock sensor re-wire, you should check those out if you plan on rewiring them. You need to use coax and ground the shielding properly. Also, when I had this problem, I also had a dead knock sensor. What I did was depin the knock...

    Code 52 info

I'm not aware of a code for engine knock. The ECU will adjust timing according to knock but it wont set a code. 52 is strictly a sensor or wiring or ECU problem. When certain RPM and load values are met, the engine looks for certain normal engine noise signals from the knock sensors, and when it...

    Code 52 info

Code 52 will only be caused by one of 3 things...either a dead knock sensor, bad wiring, or a faulty ECU. Faulty ECU is not very likely, so chances are you either have a dead knock sensor or the wiring to either knock sensor is faulty. Those are the only things that can cause that code, no...

89 7MGTE | time machine restoration, "build".Highly motivated with no time or energy

http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?97552-Head-Gasket-thickness-selection Check out that thread to figure out what gasket to get. Take the thickness of the stock gasket (1.37mm) and add both the amount taken off the block and the amount taken off the head, this will give you the...

    7M Coolant flow

Yeah I just wasn't seeing how water would flow from the back of the head to the thermostat housing through said pipe if it could just as easily flow through the head into the thermostat housing, but it makes sense to me now. There was a member on another forum that had removed the entire...

    7M Coolant flow

Not exactly sure what you mean? Each quote is talking about something different. The fact remains that the both sides of the pipe from the back of the head to the thermostat housing are on the outlet side of the pump, but I see now that even though it is there can still be flow through it.

    7M Coolant flow

So when bypassing the heater core it would actually be better to plug the ports rather than loop them. I hear people say looping the lines will allow for more coolant flow at the back of the head. I guess its true, but it doesn't need it because it already has a port so water can flow out of the...

    Dipstick popping out

Does the dipstick fit snugly? Mine was old and the part at the top that used to be rubber turned into hard plastic, and it would push out slightly. I replaced it and never had an issue again. If that is fine then clean all the PCV stuff, just because they rebuilt it doesn't mean they did this...

    heater core bypass

Cap the banjo at the back of the head and the fitting under the intake manifold at the rear of the engine. Use clamps to keep them secured, would be just as reliable as a looped hose.

    7M Coolant flow

OK I guess I can live with that explanation lol thanks adam. One thing still has me curious though, if there are two outlets on the head why aren't there two inlets for water in the block rather than just one large opening for water to enter the block on the front only? You said you don't want...

    7M Coolant flow

Bump can anyone else elaborate on this? Is its purpose to "split" the coolant volume to the radiator by having half of it come from the front of the head and half of it come from the rear of the head? Why does it need to do this?

Japan for the week - what would you look for?

I just got back from Japan about 2 weeks ago, it was my first time going, it was awesome you will really enjoy it! I went to Tokyo (Shinagawa, Shinjuku, Mt Fuji etc), Nagoya, Hiroshima, Kyoto, and Osaka. In the Tokyo area, the highlights were the Tokyo tower, Sky Tree, and I really loved the...

    Overheating issue

While mostly true I do want to point out that overheating (going into the red zone of the gauge) can happen with a completely stock system under some surprisingly common situations. If OP is overheating in stop and go traffic it may not be something he can fix, though the electric fans probably...

    Recirculating BOV/BPV. Let's see them.

Yeah its a 3" pipe, the inlet on the CT26 is slightly smaller than 3" but I was able to tighten the clamp enough to make it seal on it fine. This car was originally NA non ABS so I had moved the NA reservoir back where the ABS would be a long time ago, but ya it would probably be a problem in...

Project Git 'er done!: Stages 1, 2, 3,...NOW FOUR!

Hey thanks for the pics. I guess the reason I can't do mine exactly like that is because I am using the Canton adapter which has the lines exit 90 degrees to the oil filter mounting surface. I can probably get some 90 fittings and do something similar though. I like the new oil pressure light...
