Mine is 10/88 and is an '89. Grey plug harness, but the '87T wiring harness plugged right in, with the only issues being the ABS harness and the headlight idle-up wire.
Picked up the pin. Yay.
Timing belt installed. I want to get the lower timing cover powder coated before I install it. It at the very least needs to be cleaned up since it's disgusting and greasy.
Suprasport, I think. It was a number of years ago. Also bought with LIPP elbow, and RT downpipe. I think that the total was about $1100 for that order. Might have been some other odds and ends in it as well.
@grimreaper: I haven't taken those readings. I've just tried with the ignition on, but not started. It comes to about -100mmHg with atmospheric pressure in the manifold. Might be the gauge that's wrong, or it might be something electrical. I have other fish to fry when it comes to sorting this...
Gave up (for now) on finding used parts needed to assemble my engine.
1 pin for the timing gear on the exhaust cam (5mmX13mm) bought at dealer (Special order, go figure) for $3.91
2X fuel rail standoffs (Will salvage from '89.)
Tomorrow, the pin is supposed to be in, so the plan is to get the...
Wish I had access to your PCB setup... Or did you send it out to one of those places that does it for a fee per square inch? (The best I have is photoresist PCBS, a UV lamp and a big jug of etch solution.)
Oldschool SOGI mod.
It's not really a quick shifter. I've been in cars that have this mod, and didn't really like it that much. I might think differently if the shifter were threaded and could use the stock (or TRD) knob, since the most objectionable thing that I found was the I just didn't...
Okay, so if I'm reading this document correctly...
The stock boost sensor is essentially a 2 bar sensor, with the zero point at almost 1/2 bar, therefore it's capability is to read between 1/2 and 2.25 bar absolute. Its resolution doesn't go all the way to zero, so it doesn't really work as a...
Heh. i imagine that it looks like a lot of different pumps, since it's a very efficient design. :D
I look at it and think "Turbocharge your cooling system, too!"
Heh. Thanks to this thread, I just checked my own factory boost gauge. It reads about -1 (x100mmHg) when I turn on the ignition before it starts up. I've never seen it read at the top of the meter. It used to top out at about +2 (x100mmHg) but has been going to about +3 (x100mmHg) since I...
I was more or less curious if the dimmer function actually worked, or if it just hit a threshhold and shut off. I've done enough LED circuits to do PWM stuff, though I've never done it from something like the integration relay. Another method that works is current control. If you restrict...
Well, you've got .762mm shaved, so stock (1.2mm) + shaved (0.762mm) means 2.0mm would give you (about) stock compression. I'd opine that 1.8-2.0 would be in the acceptable range.
