code 11 car wont go past 3000 rpm

First diagnostic code is 12 as per TSRM page FI-26 Sounds like FCO, though 3000 RPM is a bit low to be hitting it at 10 PSI.

Road racing on the track w/o a thermostat

You may actually see higher temps without the thermostat, since the coolant won't be spending enough time in the radiator to shed heat. That might also be the problem that it's having once things get hot. Make sure that the radiator is getting the airflow that it needs, and that you're not...

What did you do to your supra today? Pics

Before rebuilding the CPS, why not try just replacing the O ring to see if it's that? It's a simple enough operation to replace the O ring (Just have to set #1 TDC so you don't mess up the timing) and it could well solve the problem for you. Oh, and for practical... Any hatchback should be able...

What did you do to your supra today? Pics

Devil you know > Devil you don't. That said, I replaced my 7M-GE for blowing a coolant hose (Still running great, but burnt lots of oil through 490,000+ km valve stem seals) but that was in order to move to a 7M-GTE. A JDM counterpart will cost more, unless you're just going to drop it in...

What did you do to your supra today? Pics

the stock fuel pump is fine with the Lexus/550 mod, up to a point, but that point is past the capabilities of the stock turbo, and arguably past the point if an upgraded CT-26. I was able to run 18 PSI on my 60-1 (Which is way bigger than a Ct-26) on the stock fuel pump without having fuel...

low compresion results where to go next

First off, re-do it so that all 6 cylinders are done with the throttle fully open. A chewed up O ring could cause low readings if that O ring is sealing anything on the compression side. Things that can cause consistent low readings across all cylinders are actually fairly few, most of which I...

A couple of Auto to 5-speed Wiring Harness questions

long wire to the top of the transmission would be for the reverse lights. (Well, top RIGHT is reverse lights. Top LEFT is for ABS speed sensor, if equipped with ABS.) For an automatic, the reverse lights connect elsewhere, I believe at the shifter, but I'm not 100% on that. Long wire tied off...

    Injector Latency and Current Draw

Some experimentation would be needed on the injector resistor pack. If the injector resistors are wirewound, which is in fact the most common format for relatively low resistance devices in existence, then it can be assumed that there is a relatively high amount of inductance in the total...

new motor..... what to swap in?

A loan? And you've got no time? And you want sideways? You've got the wrong car. You've REALLY got the wrong car. Sell the Supra for what you can get for it, go find something RWD, cheap and lightweight, and most importantly, running. For a hard limited $3k, and no time to hunt for parts, even...

new motor..... what to swap in?

Okay. Assuming that you have an NA 7M now, your best bet is still a turbo 7M within your budget and having it stock for now. There's only a 30HP difference between the 7M-GE and the 7M-GTE, but there's a much larger difference in torque. Since it's torque that will get what you want, that's...

How much power can stock diff take?

I'm pretty sure that with the right slicks, and a grabby enough clutch, you could break the diff (Or something else) with stock power. Shit 'n abuse breaks stuff.

Which brings us back to my first post in the thread. 7M.

new motor..... what to swap in?

You have to beat the firewall back with a 2JZ if you use the stock twins. Going single you shouldn't have to do it.

Custom eyelid headlight covers from RACINGRAVEN on EBAY

what's a good selling price varies a lot by region. Cars in good condition are worth a lot more money around here where we have to deal with crappy salted roads 7 months a year.

Headlight Relay Rewire, Adjusting for volt drop

The way I read the diagram, +12V is already through a relay at the underhood fuse box, so what you need to improve is ground. (Though it wouldn't hurt to upgrade the wires from the relay to the headlight fuses, and then from the fuses to the actual lights to 10AWG.) According to the TEWD, power...

    Minimum head thickness

115.80 < 115.82. The head casting is done. Get another one. Why mess around with that? I know they make 3mm MLS gaskets now, but do you really want to go there? I'm sure that there are decent enough head castings available.

new motor..... what to swap in?

That for sale link was a good 7M-GTE with good internals, interccooler, upgraded turbo, Lexus/550s for $3k. It's already way past what one could reasonably do with a 7M-GE without turbocharging it. Plus, if you already have a 7M-GTE, you'll need electronics and wiring harness. For that matter...

    What is your supras name?

My wife calls it "The Other Woman" -- Or at least she did while I only had one. No word on a name for the '90.

new motor..... what to swap in?

Well, there's a 7M-GTE in the for sale section that is a drop-in replacement for under $3k for everything that you should need for a good 7M setup. If you use the 5M head, then you also need 5M (or 6M, really) pistons, or else you go into interference engine territory, since the valve reliefs...

new motor..... what to swap in?

Why the 5M head? Why make things more difficult than they need to be? FWIW, I bought a complete 7M-GTE with wiring harness and ECU for $200. It needed to be rebuilt, but a JDM 7M-GTE will ALSO need to be rebuilt, and won't come with a useful wiring harness, or throttle linkage.
