What's wrong with the intercooler besides a few bent fins? Those could be fixed with a comb. Or is there some hidden damage?

Pretty normal with the stock BPV. Mine has a nice flutter when I let off the throttle with a stock CT.
And sounds like you have air in the heater core. It can be a pain to get rid of..
It's going to be the same.. You'll have to take the bottom panel off to get better access to the pedal height adjustment. Although you need to just measure it first. Pedal height is supposed to be measured from the asphalt mat so you'd have to pull the carpet up. Freeplay adjustment can be done...
And also get the head hardness tested before doing any work on it as well..
Warps can be taken out by heating the head in an oven on a flat steel plate although I don't know how well this works and if anyone does it. Most just replace the head.

Should I use standard barbed fittings with push-lock hose or are there AN barbed fittings specifically designed for push-lock hose?
Yea not quite used to the snow and ice this far down therefore was not prepared for iced locks, doors, stairs at all. It was nice to have a little snow at home..it's almost all melted now haha.
